Dedication

This picture was taken of all that attended the special dedication anniversary of the land read by Pres. Dunn, the mission president and the one taking the picture. This picture included the AP's, the zone leaders, the six Georgian missionaries, the driver of the van and us two couple missionaries. See the fortress and all the church bulidings in the background.

It was very cold and windy. We are very happy we took our good coats and longjohns. That is the big fortress that defended the city many hundred's of years ago. Many church buildings but only one big church called the Georgian Orthodox Church.

We had a very special service at this very special spot. Ten years ago Elder Holland dedicated the land of Georgia from this very spot on this same day. The man on the horse was the man who discovered this special place and built Tbilisi. It has lots of hot springs and a river running thru it. These are the six Elders we have in all of Georgia with 4,000,000 people. These are the Elders I am in charge of. They all are great. The first one is from Armenia and learning both English and Georgian. Armenia, Georgia and Russia all have very separate alphabets and lanquage. At church we have it interpreted in Russian because most do understand it but the songs are listed on three separate song boards on the wall - English, Russian and Georgian.
